Mission

Our Mission is to assist in the development and growth of the sport of track &  field, long distance running, and race walking in Michigan. To appeal and extend to all levels from children through adults, from newcomers to the sport of Olympics Championships. 


What Is USA Track & Field

USA Track & Field encompasses the world's oldest organized sport.  USA Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track and field, long distance running and race walking in the United States.  (USATF) encompasses the world's oldest organized sports, the most watched event of Olympic TV broadcasts, the #1 high school and junior high school participatory sport in the US and more than 50 million adult runners in the United States.  (USATF) is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization with a staff of professional program administrators located here in Michigan.  Our program appeal and extend to all levels of the sport.

Michigan is one of the fifty seven local Associations of USATF.  The primary objective of USATF Michigan is to assist in the development and growth of the sports of track & field, long distance running, and race walking in the state of Michigan.  We offer programs and championships throughout the year and provide valuable information and services to our member, clubs and sanctioned events.
